Everything you need to know about how Coordless works.
How does Coordless work?
You set your weekly availability (morning, afternoon, evening, late night) and add friends. When you click Generate, Coordless looks for overlapping free slots, shared interests, and location — then proposes activity ideas. You review each suggestion before it's sent to your friends, who then vote on times and venues.
Do my friends need to be on Coordless?
Yes. You invite friends by email. They sign up, set their own availability and interests, and once they accept your invite you'll start appearing in each other's suggestions.
How often can I generate suggestions?
Once per day per account. This keeps suggestions fresh and prevents spam. If you hit the limit you'll see a message — come back the next day.
Why do I keep getting the same activity?
Suggestions are based on shared interests. If you and your friends mostly share one interest (e.g. movies), you'll see that activity more often. Add more interests to get more variety. Coordless also has a randomness setting that occasionally surfaces lower-ranked but surprising combos.
What's the draft review step?
When you generate suggestions, they start as drafts visible only to you. You can review, approve (which sends them to your friends), or dismiss each one. This gives you control before anything lands in your friends' feeds.
How is the confirmed meetup time decided?
Each suggestion offers up to 5 time slot options. All participants vote for the slots they can make. As soon as a slot has 100% overlap — everyone voted for it — the meetup is automatically confirmed at that time.
What about venue suggestions?
When a suggestion is created, Coordless queries Google Places for relevant venues near your city. You and your friends can vote on which venue you prefer. The venue with the most votes wins — though the final choice is up to you.
Can I block out dates I'm unavailable?
Yes. In the Availability page, you can add away periods (e.g. April 1–15). You won't appear in suggestions during those dates, and no one will be matched with you while you're away.
How long do suggestions stay visible?
Active and confirmed suggestions are kept indefinitely. Declined and expired suggestions disappear after 14 days to keep your feed clean.
Do all friends in a suggestion need to be friends with each other?
Yes. For a group suggestion, every person in the group must be mutual friends on Coordless. This ensures everyone knows each other before a meetup is proposed.
